The President*'s Town Hall Was a Train Wreck Atop a Dumpster Fire
The most remarkable thing about this debacle was the fact that it was billed as a town hall for "undecided" voters.

Evidently, while I was watching a fine NBA playoff game that did not end the way I was hoping it would end, the president* had another unfortunate encounter with his alleged fellow humans, this time in Pennsylvania in a "town hall" format which, alas for the president*, meant questions from actual humans with actual concerns. The result, by all accounts, was a train wreck atop a car wreck upon a dumpster fire at the bottom of a cliff....
The true highlight, however, came from Ellesia Blaque, an assistant professor who pinned the president* on his attempts to demolish the Affordable Care Act while insisting that he also is "taking care" of people with pre-existing conditions in his great new imaginary healthcare plan which, like tomorrow, is always a day away. And, once she had him pinned, she didn't let him up....
The most remarkable thing about this debacle was the fact that it was billed as a town hall for "undecided" voters. I simply cannotand, increasingly, will notunderstand anyone who is "undecided" about giving this guy four more years as president* and, thus, four more years to turn constitutional democracy into a SuperFund site. Just to take one facet of that possibility: can you imagine the kind of stumblebum unemployables with whom he will staff his government for a second term? No purportedly serious Republican will come near him. Nobody with any expertise will answer the phone. You're going to end up with an executive branch full of people who make Michael Caputo look like Henry Clay. And you're "undecided" about whether or not this is the outcome you want for the country?
You're lying. You know you are.

If the press had twigged this at the start, the cheap thug would never have entered our misery, let alone be difficult to put out of it.
One thing I will state to a certainty --- he is scared shitless of black people. This was very much the fashion among well-to-do white kids in the big cities when he was coming up, no matter how tough they swaggered in their own circles.

(42,372 posts)an excellent ploy to say you're undecided. It gets you into things like that town hall to help the hump to " proceed " to show the one's who weren't paying much attention what a waste of skin he is. I give them kudos myself.

(42,770 posts)saw a town hall participant being interviewed on CNN.
She said he blew her off when she asked a question and then I thought I heard her say...
" He smooshed me off like he was brushing shit off his $3000 pair of shoes.". Loved it !
But rewound and closed caption said "soot" not "shit

(42,372 posts)I heard Brianna Keillor interview Ms. Blaque - the one quoted in Pierce's piece. She was very good.
I couldn't agree with her thinking she wouldn't vote, of course, but I'm not a Black woman in this country. Now she's voting for Biden/Harris so Welcome Aboard!
