1. I'm guessing it's a prank

I’m thinking back to the fall of 1968, when I was a college freshman. Some guy I don’t remember took me to a Columbia football game. That would be the first and last football game I’d ever attend. (I hate football.) but the half time was great. The Columbia band marched onto the field and around, playing, and eventually got into formation: they spelled out F*CK WAR across the middle of the field.

They have a history of hi jinks. They were shut down by the University last year.
