CA: The Wiltern To Serve As Voting Center For 2020 Election
LOS ANGELES, CA L.A.'s most notable concert venues have tragically been empty for most of 2020, but they'll be put to good use during election season. Live Nation announced that several of their concert venues will serve as voting centers, including the Wiltern in the heart of Los Angeles.
The company will also incentivize employees to serve as poll staffers and provide up to a half-day of paid time off to allow employees to vote.
"Core to what we do at Live Nation is helping amplify voices on stage around the world, and supporting voting is another important way we want to continue making voices heard," Live Nation president and CEO Michael Rapino said. "We're honored to work with such incredible partners and will do everything in our power to support and empower voter engagement among our employees and the public."
Live Nation also partnered with More Than a Vote, a collective of athletes such as LeBron James and Michael Vick working to protect voting rights and raise election awareness.
