of student debt burden. The dollar limit placed on federal loans don't begin to cover college costs, so students are forced to resort to big bank lenders. Those loans often have high interest rates compared to the federal loans. And those banks are killing economic prospects for an entire generation.

And all of my loans are federal loans.

Don't dare try to belittle this proposal. Most students probably turn towards the federal loan programs first, which means this cancellation of debt would probably benefit most borrowers.

I welcome any proposal to help students with crushing loans.

I just wish this could be taken even further.

Don't dare to tell me what to think.

...has been used to depress turnout, which results in lost elections where we get nothing.

$50k in federal student loan relief is incredible and I'm surprised it is even being seriously talked about. This would be a massive boon to almost anyone that has student loans.

Most if not all things proposed by the progressive caucus poll extremely well with voters. The mid-terms were a good example.

I'm not arguing with you about the benefit of this proposal. It's great. I just don't want to see students with other than federal loans left behind.
