The Ten Plagues of Egypt - If Trump Was The Pharaoh Today, Would Evangelicals Have a Clue?

I think we have all heard the story about 10 plagues of Egypt where the an Egyptian Pharaoh refused to let the Israelites go to worship him in the wilderness. The Pharaoh refused, so God unleashed a series of plagues upon Egypt with the Pharaoh refusing to relent until finally the first son of each Egyptian family was killed.

You could just imagine today if there was pandemic, if fires were spreading through the West Coast and hurricanes were pounding the East Coast, if animal species were going extinct, if the very air was difficult to breathe, and unrest was spreading throughout the land, that Evangelicals would not make the same mistake that the Pharaoh did? Or, perhaps the Pharaoh just needed Fox News to gas light everyone and say that the reports of the 10 plagues were fake news.

The 10 plagues in the book of Exodus
01 Blood
The waters were turned to blood – the fish in the river died and the Egyptians couldn’t drink the foul water.

02 Frogs
Frogs swarmed forth, covering every inch of land and entering houses and bedrooms.

03 Lice
All over Egypt, bugs crawled forth from the dust to cover the land.

04 Wild animals
Hordes of wild animals destroyed everything in their path.

05 Pestilence
A fatal pestilence killed most of the domestic animals of the Egyptians.

06 Boils
The Pharaoh, his servants, the Egyptians and even their animals developed painful boils all over their bodies.

07 Fiery hail
Hail struck down all the crops in the fields and shattered every tree.

08 Locusts
The locusts covered the face of the land and swallowed up every crop and all the fruits of the trees.

09 Darkness
A thick darkness over the land of Egypt, so total that the Egyptians had to feel their way around.

10 Death of the first-born
All firstborn Egyptian sons (and firstborn cattle) died. Israelites marked lamb's blood above their door and were passed over.

He thought a close pass with a large celestial object was the cause of the ten plagues.

or perhaps the Ancient Egyptians were just having a year like 2020. Mama said there'd be days like this...

It can't be just any joe shmoo, it needs to be someone of very high ranking, someone who is the best at everything, and knows more than anyone about anything, someone really deserving of the great honor.

Christians play down the fact that God was directly screwing with Pharaoh. He was perfectly willing to let the people go, but “God hardened his heart” and forced him to refuse. So deprived of his free will, god punished the Egyptians for sport.
