Best guess nominee: Barbara Lagoa-- Cuban-America woman from Florida

She fulfills all of Trump's most important qualifications: she could help him win Florida (Cuban American pride) and will satisfy the fundamentalists as a conservative. Moreover, she sailed through her appointment to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals 80-15 and is only 53.

Trump is already on record stating that he was "saving her for Ginsburg".

And, again, he's not calling the shots. The Federalist Society is, just like they did with Frat Boy.

"I've got this thing and it's (expletive) golden," "I'm not just giving it up for (expletive) nothing."

They are grifters cut from the same cloth.

No, Federalists don't matter less than Trump. They've been the source for every conservative justice for decades. They decide who the finalists are. This stuff is planned out years ahead of time -- she was named to an appeals court in 2017 in preparation for this.

Thereby rendering Bloombergs money insufficient. An added bonus for trump.

Hope that's clear enough.

Sounds more like a knee jerk, uninformed hot take rather than any kind of coherent argument. Be best.

In Florida. Namely former Obama strategists outlining how slow and flat footed the party remains in competing for the FL hispanic vote.

If you don't believe such a move by trump would be equally as impactful as Bloomberg throwing money around in a razor close race, I don't know what to tell you. "wipe away" applies perfectly.

It's not complicated.

and you may very well be correct. Ethnic pride is strong among Cuban-Americans, so Bloomberg will have his work cut out for him.

Donald Trump is closely considering two conservative women as an intense political battle heats up to fill Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat on the Supreme Court.

According to people familiar with the process, one of those potential picks is Barbara Lagoa, a seasoned Florida judge with Cuban roots.

Here’s what you need to know about Lagoa:

A Florida native, Lagoa was the first Hispanic woman to serve on the Florida Supreme Court. If nominated to the nation’s high court by Trump and confirmed by the Senate, she would be the second Latino justice to ever serve. Current Justice Sonia Sotomayor became the first when she was nominated by former President Barack Obama.
