McConnell's quick push to replace RBG shows his lack of confidence in Trump

If he believed that Trump was going to win, and the GOP was going to retain the Senate, there would be no need to rush to push through a nominee.

It should be pointed out, over and over again, that any Republicans pushing for a nominee prior to the election believe Trump will lose. Preferably pointed out to Trump himself.

Make it a sign of weakness for him.

The Senate should not vote on a replacement before the election! See if she sticks to it this time.

Murkowski already spoke out. So did Romney.

...the Senate should not confirm a replacement until after the Inauguration, not just the election.

Of course, trailing by double digits in her re-election race in a mostly-center-left state probably left her with no choice. And we'll see if she changes her tune after the election, win or lose.

the republicans are weak morally as well. They have no empathy just like their master.

But alas, it is about power, and they want to make sure they have it for at least a generation at any means necessary.

Talk about pure evil, that is the republican party.

200,000 death from COVID-19 and the republicans don't care.

Even if Trump was the favorite to win by levels Obama was seeing in 2012, I'm sure McConnell would have moved on it because the risk is too great.

that the right thing to do is let the outcome of the election determine who should fill the seat, which could push RWs out to vote, saving some senate seats. If they give it now, they stand to lose big time. By waiting, they could still confirm a replacement in the lame duck session
