If Clarence Thomas is thinking of retiring, he's got a decision to make...soon. If

he stays on the Court and Trump loses, he may be stuck there for another 8 years. My bet is that he will announce his retirement and give Trump the seat. Tell me what's wrong with my thinking.

she's more free to spew her venom. She's probably saying "Clarence, you've had your fun, now it's my turn."

But that's logical thinking, which doesn't necessarily apply to narcissistic zealots.

If he retires he will get 100% of his salary in pension and he would be free to make millions in appearance fees.

Other justices are more interested in being part of the history of judicial history but I don't think Thomas is not motivated by such esoteric concerns.

They either don't want to give up the power or they decide to retire but wait too long and don't live long enough to make it to the next oppertunity.

If Thomas wanted to retire the time to do it would have been the summer. The polls were bad for Trump and it was far enough away from the election to not cause issues. So the fact that he didn't likely means he intends to stay. It could happen but I would put money on him not retiring.

Being married to a retired SC justice is not worth as much as being married to a sitting SC justice.
