There would be no rush if they thought he was going to win!

And if he loses they will have less legitimacy at rushing through a pick after Election Day.

So yes, expect a rush. How do you even complete a background check and hold hearings in 5.5 weeks?

Because of the lame duck session, I actually believe one of the reasons they are rushing this is because Mark Kelly is likely to win in AZ and can be sworn in by the end of November.

Look at what Trump did for Kavanaugh - he set all the parameters for the FBI investigation and got it done in days.
