A disturbing video being shared on social media shows a man hurling racist insults and obscenities at the clerk at a northwest Calgary liquor store.

The two sisters who operate the northwest Calgary liquor store said the man had previously given employees trouble, but the situation escalated Saturday around 4:30 p.m. after the clerk asked him to put a mask on to shop in the store in accordance with COVID-19 bylaws.

In the video, the man asks the employee, recording the incident behind a plexiglass barrier, where she was born and repeatedly calls her a racist slur.

“It’s f—ing people like you who . . . do this s—,” the man says as the clerk yells at him to leave the store.

I live in Calgary and last week it was a woman in SE Calgary. Luckily it is not that many but the ignorance is astounding of those idiots. We do not have as many cases in Canada because of the mask mandates, it is working so they think it is not real. I have a brother on Vancouver Island that thinks it is a hoax, I just cannot even speak with him, I can't believe we are from the same family.
