He's a Republican in heavily Democratic Westchester, he already faced a more than 2-to-1 registration disadvantage but efforts to slow the coronavirus outbreak meant no door-to-door campaigning or face-to-face fundraising, he said.

“I just don’t see it,” Bendish said. “I just don’t have the time, nor do I see any way of overcoming those difficulties.”
