But my guess, and I admit it is a WAG, is that COVID19 cares dilly-squat about what republicans think.

Still no mask mandate

Although Parson has recommended people wear masks when they are unable to socially distance, he doesn’t always follow his own advice. In July, speaking without a mask at an event in Sedalia, he reiterated his stance.

“You don’t need government to tell you to wear a dang mask,” he said. “If you want to wear a dang mask, wear a mask.”

Williams, a physician, said he still isn’t recommending Parson impose a mask mandate across the state, arguing that the state’s diversity would make it untenable

“One size doesn’t fit all,” Williams said. “If you are too draconian about it, it’s almost as if it creates more problems than it solves”

He's 65 and I don't want to know her age.

From Wiki....

In July 2020, Parson argued for the re-opening of schools. He said school children "are at the lowest risk possible. And if they do get COVID-19, which they will — and they will when they go to school — they’re not going to the hospitals... They’re going to go home and they’re going to get over it."

On September 23, 2020, Parson and his wife both tested positive for COVID-19.

++++
After denying implementation of voting by mail in Missouri, when asked about voters who have concerns about going to a polling place, Parson said such individuals should prioritize safety and not vote.

Pure unadulterated homicidal republican.
