Notwithstanding that very real concern, I take heart in John Dean’s tweet the other day that trumps term ends at noon on January 20. If he loses the election, then his term is over. He commands nothing in the way of government resources. And if the election hadn’t been sorted out, the speaker of the house becomes acting president. There may be riots and violence, but will, like a miracle, eventually go away.
