Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsIn NJ, there exists a Progressive, registered as a Democrat, who
is still actively attacking her opponent, a progressive democratic representative, the primary election long gone. And she's attacking another Democrat, Sen. Corey Booker.
I can understand her passion for the environment and climate change, but not at the expense of persuading otherwise Democrats from voting for both of these candidates in six weeks. The timing is wrong. It appears that her efforts and her words are telling others that they can't rely on both these candidates. While she doesn't advocate for Trump and other Republicans, she doesn't have to. This election is too important to have any registered Democrat stay home or not vote down the line. (BTW, she isn't exactly in love with Joe Biden as well.)

(11,306 posts)has always involved an "interesting" slate of characters. No reason that the Republicans should have all the fun.
My point -- just because this person has a "progressive" or "Democrat" beside their name -- does not mean that they can't be a complete wack job. And, unfortunately, there's no real "mechanism" in which to stop these people from causing damage. So -- just call them on their sh*tty behavior. Best you can do.

(46,100 posts)I stress again that this former candidate is not supporting the winner of the democratic primary and is fine with protest votes which dilute the votes for our district, which fortunately, is dark blue. I'd have no problem with her post if she had continued with "Flattery aside, please cast your vote for our democratic nominee/candidate, Bill Pascrell, Jr. We don't have the luxury of voting for anyone else in this election."
