What I want on Tuesday from Joe Biden.

I don’t want fireworks as he walks onto the podium.

I don’t want theatrical garbage to detract from substance, so please, no one armed pushups, no chest bumping GMD standoff at center stage, nor a refusal to be civilized through acknowledging trumps presence in a dismissive or disrespectful way.

I want the adult in the room on full display please. I want calm, collected responses to questions, with supporting data where necessary, but not to excess.

I don’t want snickering or gasps of disbelief at anything that comes from the other lecturn no matter how pompous or assinine or incendiary.

I want a solid win and this is the way to get one. This debate isn’t for the trump supporters really, it’s for us. It’s to give out a little hope here right before things look like they’re about to drop off the abyss.

Keep the faith. Don’t waver. We may stumble across that finish line in January, but we will cross that finish line.

And I’m starting to believe that we might win it. 9000 ballots returned by mail this time 2016. 180,000 so far at last count. After he’s railed against mail in balloting, I can’t imagine the majority of those ballots going for him.

Watch the debate. Take what hope you need, and keep stumbling forward.

Edit*. GMD is a Glorified Monkey Dance. Typical bully posturing BS for those not familiar.

Trump won’t let it be. Chris Wallace will not check him. There’s only so much Joe can control.

If it is a cluster Ef folks will blame trump not Joe.

I don’t feel like I’m stumbling along.

I am full boat let’s get this shit on.

The reports of Joe’s stumbles are widely over-hyped.

In a time of chaos, the people want to see a chance of stability.

That said, when Trump starts with personal insults, deep down inside, I wouldn't mind Biden breaking Trump's jaw with a good strong right-hook.

A real debate, no clapping, no hooting and hollering -- I want to see a real debate. Oh, I forgot. Trump'll be there. He's not capable of debate. Doubt he'll answer one single question -- he'll pivot to Biden and Hunter -- as if that is going to help. He's such a sad sorry little man.

Not with Trump involved. Joe Biden needs to remain calm, clear and sturdy with his answers and cast a presidential presence. Trump will attempt to bait, definitely scorn and defame the former Vice-President. But the truth is? Joe Biden knows his shit when it comes to policy and detail. He's a man who has actually been involved in governing, not endless parlor tricks.

This is a compare and contrast moment: the seasoned leader vs a certified know-nothing who now has a full record of incompetence, racism, sexism, authoritarianism and the beat goes on.

200,000+ American dead and counting. Never let Trump forget his accountability for these deaths, his utter failure to contain and control the worst public health crisis in a century.

We're going to win this thing!
