You may be able to prove aid, but not joining (adherence).

(15,417 posts)Rivals, yes, but enemies, no. There's is no enemy to aid, because an "enemy" in the constitutional sense requires declared or open war.
I think morally speaking that Trump is a traitor, but that's not good enough for a legal case.
