either to allow him to reshape the entire infrastructure of American democracy into an autocracy, so he could become another version of his BFF and wet dream, Putin ('cause Putin told him he would walk him through the process), OR boost his brand enough, and bilk the taxpayers enough, that he could ALMOST be rich and powerful enough to posture as a Putin type "celebrity". Maybe have his own network to espouse yet more of his pomposity, his genius intellect, and additional income producing revenue streams.
Too bad it hasn't worked. Although we may need a little more time for him to realize abject failure...
He never expected to win, he was a shocked as the rest of us. Still, he came up with those two options.
Now he knows he is not smart enough or shrewd enough to actually do the job. That hurts. He refuses to do the work. He doesn't want it anymore, and he is now just fulfilling Putin's wet dream of destroying this country through chaos and division.
He knows he is going to lose. He also knows that if he stays he will go to jail.
He WILL lose, bigly (assuming we can overcome the barriers set up by Putin's computer hackers, and DeJoy's outright destruction of the USPS).
I don't believe he will last through one debate. But if he does, there probably won't be a second.
He WON'T participate in any kind of a smooth transition, he won't attend the inauguration, and he will tuck his tail and flee to SA in the dark of night.
He will then continue his revenge from afar, until he dies.
But that is just my 2 cents worth, which won't buy squat.
