Ex-FBI agent says Trump is invoking the 5th Amendment by not releasing his taxes

That is a wonderful way to view this situation. Trump does not want to incriminate himself so he is pleading "the 5th".

In that court, concealment is confession. In a court of law, a judge would counsel a jury to draw no such inference from silence, but the general public is no court of law.

He has already in a real sense made a legal confession, since his crime consisted in signing a document sent off to be kept on file in a government archive....
