8% of those polled are undecided

or at least won't say who they are voting for.
If Biden can get the majority of their votes, that would probably give him the edge he ends to overcome the GOP bullshit and cheating.
Hopefully, Trump's taxes will sway a few of these confused voters.
By now we see that Trump's 42% aren't going to stop supporting him.
But a 8 or 10 point Biden win could do the trick.
The whole of the election is with this 8%.

It is a pathetic comment on our Democracy that even a clear majority of votes doesn't mean an election win.

My guess: Purity left types who will probably either stay home or vote for Biden in the end, Greens who may not want to throw their votes away, Trump voters in 16 who aren’t quite sure they want another 4 years of him, disengaged millennials and under 40s whose life revolves around Keeping Up With The Kardashians and Vanderpump Rules, people who can’t ever decide what restaurant to go to on a Friday night, people who are new American citizens who may not be being reached by either campaign, and finally, actual morons.

Probably a little of all of those and more.

My brother-in-law (whom I'm very close to) fits this.

He's a gun nut among gun nuts, anti-immigrant, but also supports UBI, universal healthcare, and fighting climate change.

There’s a significant part of the population I just can’t understand.

Sticking a poll in their face isn't going to get them to think about it before they are good and ready. There's no shame in holding out for at least one debate.

12. Biden is already up 7% plus in National polls. If he got three out of eight undecided voters
Mon Sep 28, 2020, 06:05 PM
Sep 2020

that would put him up in the neighborhood of 10%, That would more than do the trick. Undecided voters tend not to break late for an unpopular incumbent. Biden is in strong shape. and nothing in the news works to make Trump more popular than he already is.

Their own personal life. Am I doing good with Trump as president, if so and abortion and the environment and healthcare don't matter to you maybe you vote for him.

Maybe your young you see two old white men, your not paying attention to politics and in your social relm all you hear is jokes made about both sides.

We see things through our own filter and in that its hard to believe anyone doesn't know about politics but many don't.

The only way I have any knowledge is trying to talk to my older daughter that thinks she knows what is going on but really knows nothing. She has crazy ideas about both candidates and I know she picks up stuff from others at work. She works 10 hr days, watches no news, reads no news and laughs at me and my other daughter when we try to explain anything to her. She says both sides do it..thats a big phrase she uses. I hate it! Can't get through.
