I was an incurable political junkie by age 12...am now 75...and majored in political science in college. Always watched conventions, debates, etc. from beginning to end. But I don't know if I can do this one. I cannot tolerate listening to this Hitler, sick, filthy animal...I just cannot. I feel my heart, soul & body violated by this diseased sewer rat. I have more self-worth than to subject myself to this scum of the earth

(17,425 posts)I'm going to watch it and hope my head does not explode in anger.
I'm watching because I think there is a real good chance that we are going to see a side of Joe Biden tonight that we haven't seen. I could be wrong, but I'm expecting Biden to destroy him in real time.
I'm not just looking for a Biden "win" tonight, I'm looking for him to turn Trump into an unrecognizable pile of flesh.
That might be wishful thinking, but if this does indeed happen, I would not forgive myself for not watching in real time.

(5,477 posts)I'd never forgive myself if I missed seeing Needy Amin's meltdown, in real time.
It should be entertaining, alternating between a calm, measured recitation of complete sentences and relevant commentary and thoughts vs. a disjointed mess of sentence fragments that come nowhere near answering the actual question that was posed.
How many minutes into it until we hear the words 'fake', 'hoax', 'unfair', and 'rigged'? I say that all 4 are spewed in the first half hour.

(14,888 posts)...polygolfer, I understand stand completely as well as anyone else who'll avoid it IRT.
I started to become interested in politics by age 12, too!
Semi polititical junkie for decades since (I'm 67).
Since I really stopped listening to him except for radio snips by something '18, rarely ever watched him from the get go - I can take this.
I want to see Biden, I want to see hopefully real obviously goof ups from Drumph, exactly what lies he tells, and when - plus hoping he'll emotionally blow up, and shave a few more votes off -fingers crossed- in just the right States!

.I did a different set of math - you must have been 15-16 when JFK was inaugurated? Did you follow his Presidency pretty closely, then?
