One of the things I like about teen stunt videos on YouTube is that I remember doing all kinds of stupid stuff as a kid.

But, now, any kid contemplating something like filling an empty pumpkin with gasoline, lighting it, and hitting it with a baseball bat, can instead immediately access a video of some kid doing just that, and lighting himself on fire. The reaction is more like "what a moron" instead of "that's cool". I let my kids watch those things, and it turns out that when they were in a group of kids contemplating some stupid stunt, mine were the ones saying, "this might not be something that's going to end well."

The problem that many don't seem to understand is the alcohol gets dumped almost instantly into the blood stream and as it accumulates, very serious problems are not far behind. I saw on 20/20 (didn't see the entire piece) something about "Blackout Parties," where people, mostly teens/young adults drink until they blackout. I find this new-ish trend very disturbing.

15. First heard of them about 20 years ago

There was a particular leather bar in the Detroit area that for your birthday would give you a champagne douche. Being young(er) and naive at the time, I had to have it explained to me. It was shaken up and inserted into your back door. The alcohol hit you much faster since it was absorbed thru the linings of the anus.

Sounded stupid as hell then (I declined) and doesn't sound much smarter now.

... and can be deadly. I had a friend who swallowed 5 tabs of very pure mescaline wrapped in foil (early '70s) when he was getting pulled over to avoid arrest. He didn't have time to unwrap them. He passed the foil two days later, they had unwrapped slowly going through the colon, I suppose. He was tripping for about 2 days straight with Grandfather Peyote.
