A few good comments from the 538 live blog - editing to add some more. they are getting better.

The moderation of this debate should be used in journalism schools to illustrate the hollowness of both-sides journalism.

Reading comments on Twitter about who is more “alpha” reminds me that the pool of people who cover politics for a living is very male-dominated.

Biden came prepared for a debate. Trump came in determined to prevent one.

If your feeling going in was that this debate was not going to do much to the election, then I think what’s happened so far has pretty much confirmed it.

Man, I can’t wait for the French language debate.

It’s worth keeping in mind that if Trump’s strategy here is sort of to make the debate a mess and fight to a draw … fighting to a draw in the debate is not a good move when you’re 7 points behind.
