I remember the town hall debate with Trump always looming behind Hillary, but all I remember is Hillary seeming to come out on top for all three.

he wants Biden to pull out of the next debates. This was his strategy. If Biden says that the debates aren't worth it and he's pulling out - this would give Trump a chance to say Biden is scared to debate and Biden is weak.

The thing to do is not pull out and let Trump go on to sabotage himself. I think Trump was debating himself most of the night.

Trump's strategy was clearly to not have a debate in the first place. Trump was prepped to act this way and make a mockery of it all.

He wants to be there for the people to be able to ask questions personally.

to know about the Town Hall Format.

So the audience asks them questions & trump can't bully his way into Biden's time?

Plus Joe is doing a magnificent job of beating Trump like a drum. It seems he even enjoys it.

He would look weak. He needs to demand strong rules and fact-checking from the debate commission regarding interruptions and be prepared to show up when Trump refuses to accept said rules

Except they're not going to do any fact-checking.

It will be interesting to see what people in the audience will do if trump starts this bullshit again. Boo him? Just all get up and leave? All wear tshirts that say--Shut up, man!

Biden is running to be President, which means putting up with a lot of shit, he has to show he can deal with it.
