My guess is it's 50%-50% if they will meet again. Last night was such a mess, entirely due to Trump, that I could see VP Biden just tell the country that it isn't worth it to listen to Trump's lies. Frank Bruni wrote about this in his NYT column today.
Conversely, if the Presidential Debate Commission changes the format to regain control as they've indicated they're going to do, Trump might bail, saying it's totally unfair to him. (Muting the microphones would seem to be a very easy solution.)
Do you think Pence will look good compared to Senator Harris? I really don't think that will happen and I think she'll mop the floor with Pence.
Here's a somewhat humorous thought. If Trump and VP Biden do meet again, when it's his turn to speak, VP Biden could say, "Mr. President, at our last meeting I called you a clown. That was a mistake and I apologize. You're not a clown. You're a buffoon." He'd never do that, of course, but the thought made me chuckle.
Lastly, to answer your question, I would expect Trump to double-down on his attacks. It's what he always does. It's who he is.
