1. if we don't get Ohio this time, I say it is gone for good. Iowa too.

6. While you're correct, Trump is a uniquely hated conservative.
It’s unlikely that a generic Republican candidate would be getting hammered as badly in the polls as he is.

Trump is doing a pretty good job of sinking the Republican brand (emphatically among younger voters) pretty much from coast to coast. Want to name me some Republican politicians in either state that are more popular now than they were in 2016?

It will be difficult to grab back if a "normal" Republican is on the ballot
