Helen Reddy and Mac Davis both passed away. I grew up listening to their music. Mac Davis Hard to be Humble was my motto song. And Helen Reddy had her great song Delta Dawn. May they both Rest In Peace.

looked up the two songs you mentioned, very nice songs in a style that usually wouldn't appeal to me.

'I am woman' perfectly meshed with an emerging 'women's lib' movement at the time. It was a beacon of pride and respect, and echoed countless times in defense of a woman's prerogatives.
