Per @mkraju Sen. Rick Scott is NEGATIVE for COVID-19. He misspoke in an interview this morning, per his office.

NEW: Sen Rick Scott has tested positive for the coronavirus, the fourth Republican Senator.

Sounds like we have a cluster.

Nothing is bi-partisan.

But Dems still worked and interacted with these COVID spreaders in the following days.

We might actually be able to hold off the vote till after election. And try to use the election results to delay their votes. Still a long shot but much better odds than say a week ago.

He would have to change senate rules and that would require a quorum - 47 dems sit it out, 4 Repubs absent means only 49 Repubs remain, which is not a quorum. Senate shuts down.

Two more, and that makes more than ten per cent of their caucus.

Still one must consider: these are REPUBLICAN Senators. Their consideration for their fellow humans is not at what you might call fever pitch (no pun intended). If they are at all functional, and want to demonstrate how faithful they are to their own nonsense, they could easily continue to show up, maskless, at their luncheons, even after their diagnosis. Like all games of Russian Roulette, some will sure get away with it, but if even a fifth of them get seriously ill over the next month, and Graham and McTurtle are NOT among them, they will be in some kind of pickle when their confirmation of Justice Lucretia Borgia comes up for a vote. Of course, if either McTurtle or Graham are incapacitated, they have their out and get a free ticket to call off the war they declared with her nomination.

ETA: They've already appropriated the Notorious RBG meme and made a similar pic of ABC with the crown on her head. That could be improved by making it half of a coronavirus image on her head.

This could be eye opening for some. Others like tRump will ask for and get the best treatment money (or position) can buy. It will be interesting to see which camp some of these people fall into — depending, of course, if they survive. I don’t expect miracles to happen. But maybe some will have their proverbial “come to Jesus” moment.

R. Scott was my governor.

They knew he was a crook when elected and then voted for him as Senator. Still shaking my head how folks can overlook his crooked past. And a poor sap who served time for stealing stuff still can’t vote even after he has served his sentence if he has outstanding fines.

destroy the republican party. Guess he was right -- just not in the way he envisioned.

That said, statistically, most, if not all of them, will survive.

Betcha folks like Grassley and Alexander are feeling a bit nervous right about now, though.

with serious aftereffects, enough so those eager to have been fooled by them can't miss it.

I'd wish for them all to die because I believe they fully, genuinely deserve it after creating what is, in fact, a holocaust. It'd be a way for them to finally, involuntarily, serve their nation by revealing their lies for what they are.

But, gotta be realistic.

How do you "accidentally" announce that you have Covid when you don't? I don't believe the retraction at all. Rick Scott is the kind of person that would lie about not having Covid if he thought there was something in it for him, like a Supreme Court justice.

The Senate should do all the testing itself going forward. Anyone that refuses a test should be considered positive and have to quarantine.
