I'm calling bullshit on the WH statement about trump's excursion being safe & Dr. approved.

Tweet text: Yamiche Alcindor
@Yamiche
WH spokesman Judd Deere on how ppl were protected during Trump’s drive: “Appropriate precautions were taken in the execution of this movement to protect the President and all those supporting it, including PPE. The movement was cleared by the medical team as safe to do.”

I'm guessing hospital staff are finding out how willing to lie trump and his people are.

I might be naive, but I'm thinking it's not a good idea to piss all over the only people that might be able to keep you alive.

...any medical professional who took part in it. Trump staffers and hangers-on are already bereft of credibility, so it's not any worse for them.

Hell, they might have to change the name of the hospital - they've even hurt the reputation of Walter Reed.

BETHESDA, Md. (WJZ) — President Donald Trump briefly left a Maryland hospital Sunday evening to wave to supporters from his car, despite the CDC’s guidelines to isolate when diagnosed with the coronavirus.

Dr. James Phillips, chief of disaster medicine at George Washington University and an attending physician at Walter Reed Medical Center, tweeted that Mr. Trump’s brief departure from the hospital was “theater” and called it “insanity.”

Remember when the essential hospital personnel had to wear plastic garbage bags, wash masks and re-use PPE.

Well I don't know how many people were involved in Trump's joy ride today - but if they all wore PPE - what a waste of valuable commodities.

I wonder how many of the 210,000 people who died of Covid - died because of lack of good and sterile PPE?

Trump just had to go on this 'joy ride' and he made Walter Reed Hospital use - God Knows - how many sets of valuable PPE for his ego.

This man is insane. The Drs. were irresponsible for allowing him to leave the hospital.

I wonder how many more people Trump put in harms way today because of this 'joy ride'?
