(27,311 posts)3. I took my ballot to a drop box on 10/3. I checked the NJ elections website today..
my ballot was recorded as received on 10/5.

dropped my secure ballot at the drop box outside the police station today. All New Jerseyans got ballots in the mail. I feel very secure my vote will be counted properly. For years we voted into black boxes with no paper trails. My vote-by-mail ballot was bar-coded and I can check to see if it was received in a few days. I live in a very red area of a very blue state and my neighbors have been complaining for months about vote-by-mail and fraud. They were pushing in-person voting. I hope they do. Their ballots will be provisional!
