7. My entire experience with South Carolina

Came from an experience I had about 25 years ago. Back then I taught for a big computer company that no longer exists. After teaching a four-day class in Atlanta, I had to cover day five of another 's class in Charlotte. Since I'd already planned on spending the weekend with extended family in Atlanta before moving on to my next location, when my class was over I drove up to Charlotte, finished my colleague's class, and drove back to Atlanta.

Both ways, I had to stop and fill up my rental car in South Carolina. Since this predated pay-at-the-pump technology, both times I had to go into the station's convenience store. Both stores had beer, fireworks (in September), and slot machines.
