A lottttt of folks forgetting that senate republicans changed the number of justices on the bench to 8 when they denied hearings for months until they then found it advantageous to change it back to 9.

Why can't we do it for good? The control of SCOTUS is not about abortion. It's about taxing wealth, control of resources, killing work safety laws and other "evil" regulations. Abortion and taxes are the buzz words.
