Wed Oct 21, 2020, 10:05 AM
Oct 2020

Once Trump is no longer president and unable to rob the US Treasury blind, he will declare Trump Org. bankruptcy within months. His businesses will continue to suffer because people here and around the world hate him and will not stay in his hotels. His rich Mar-a-Lago friends will desert him because he can no longer give them tax cuts or share secret information to help them game the stock market. His legal bills will go through the roof to defend against future NY indictments and possibly federal ones if he hasn’t been pardoned. And once Trump’s loans that he personally signed come due, he may have to declare personal bankruptcy unless he has stashed a huge part of that $1+ billion campaign fund somewhere offshore, which I think he probably has done (along with the missing millions from his inauguration fund).

Trump will have to pay for his own lavish lifestyle once he leaves the White House. It’s great when taxpayers have to pay roughly $3 million every time Trump uses Air Force One, which is all the time, but costly when you have to pay for your own plane. And now that Melania has a revised prenup, she may well take a chunk of money and leave. After all, there’s not much there for her by staying with Trump. The world will not welcome she and Trump the way it has the Obamas.

Trump’s rabid supporters cannot bail him out because they have too little money. And once his usefulness to Russia is gone, he won’t be getting more money from Putin. He might be able to work with the Russian mob to continue laundering money for them, but a DOJ with a real AG might be looking for that.

I look forward to seeing Trump and his corrupt family get their just rewards.

All the turnout models show that heavy turnout spells doom for Trump, well we might hit 90 million early votes, that would mean only 60 million people voting on election day would be a massive turnout of 150 million.

No one is sitting this one out like they did in 2016. Trump has done nothing to expand his base, he's going to end up with around the same number of votes he had in 2016.

I think the polls are wrong, Joe will win by more than them across the country.

I'd like nothing more than to see Texas turn blue. I'd like to see a Democrat in the Governor's mansion, an attorney general, and a lieutenant governor as well. I'd also like to see two Democratic Senators, instead of Beavis and Butthead that we have now.
I'd like to see another Ann Richards as Governor. I've lived in Texas all my life, and unfortunately when election time comes, the mindset of a lot of Texans is that when they see an R next to someone's name on the ballot, that is who they pick regardless of the qualifications of that republican candidate. Seen it happen too many times.

Hope you have a good day, c_f.

I think Trump knows from internal polls that it is over. Now his rallies and twitter are about firing up his base for what he hopes will be his private army to protect him once he loses. But in the end it will be a nothing burger. The vast majority of his supporters besides the very wealthy who want to pay no taxes, are just local nut jobs. They will cry in disbelief election week and go on to the next shiny object. Once those Michigan clowns had their mugshots posted all over the world, I doubt many local plumbers in the militia want to throw away their lives for Trump. I think he does not concede, tries to fire his supporters up on Twitter, nothing really happens, then Trump skulks off to begin his legal battles. The good thing is Facebook and You Tube have eliminated the pre election planning of his supporters with militia and Qanon bents, so they really can not communicate anymore in large numbers. It would be far more likely for millions of liberals to take to the streets if the election was stolen than it would be for even a dozen Trump supporters to gather when he loses.

Could there be a few cases of his nutty lone wolf supporters doing something awful, sadly this will likely happen. But large scale violence and chaos that Trump wants when he loses, not going to happen. His rallies are mostly just blank faced dimwits with zero plans to do a thing but complain.

I seriously doubt if tRump has the mental, emotional or genetic capacity to be humiliated and suspect all he will feel will be rage, resulting in some serious revenge. From what I've read about psychopaths (as an amateur), the pros say they don't feel remorse, empathy or sympathy or even regret, and refuse to be held accountable for their actions - - depending on the degree of psychopathy in each individual.

His biographers have said he cannot stand to be seen as a loser. This will be the worst loss of his life. He's always been able to fight his way into revenge mode, mostly by tying people up in court for years. It won't work this time, but I'll bet he already has a battle team on standby. He may even dog-whistle his nutcase followers into becoming violent.

I would not want to be anywhere near him on election night, or any of his family for that matter. It appears many of them and his staff suffer from the same mental disorders. We can also be certain a sizable number of his followers are mentally imbalanced as well and many have guns - lots of guns.

Thanks for bringing this up for discussion.

Some days I see him raging like a maniac, screaming and threatening revenge on anyone who is responsible for the loss. Of course, he is never to blame.

Then I wake up another day convinced he will have pre-arranged an escape plan. He won’t stick around to face the loss. He will have arranged to hop a jet to somewhere, anywhere so he doesn’t have to face the media and their thousand questions. Then he can avoid the inevitable arrest that will come when the legal issues turn into crimes.

Then I wake up and think OMG, he cheated again and “won”. We are royally f*cked.

Different nightmare every day. Truthfully, I just hope he loses — bigly — and accepts it. (Crying and sobbing in the background is ok.) Followed by arrest for his crimes. We have had enough. Defeat, followed by arrest is the only fair and just way for this to play out.

I am so looking forward to seeing him destroyed. Defeated and humiliated. I think of him mocking the disabled journalist and it infuriates me so much that for THAT alone, he deserves to go down to defeat. I think of the children separated from their parents and I know the only fair thing is for him to be crushed in defeat. One loud voice needs to tell him no. Not just no! But HELL, ..NO! I remember the Covid victims, both living and the dead and how he has felt nothing over that tragedy and I know he must be defeated. Nothing else will suffice.

And then he must be arrested for his crimes. He has avoided accountability all these years. The time for that to end is here.

So I cannot wait for Nov. 3rd. Finally, the nightmare can end. And we can celebrate. The noise of our rejoicing will be heard across the land. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🍾🥂🍾🥂🍾🥂🍺🍺🍺🍷🍷🍷🎉🎉🎉🎉

Northwestern NC, near the VA border

This is deep red republican territory. And there were a lot of Trump signs, as expected - but not as many as expected. My mom said they were far fewer than in 2016. And they seemed to be limited to the real die-hards: the houses that also had multiple Confederate flags, Gadsen flags, homemade signs with terrible spellings etcetera. The kind of house that even if you desperately need help, you'll pass by as quickly as possible.

AND...there were also Biden signs in places we did NOT expect to see them. Including at least one house decked out in no less than FIVE Biden/Harris yard signs, a Biden flag on the shed, and a big handpainted Biden Harris sign on plywood (all spelled correctly).

This gives me hope, because obviously these households are outnumbered here. BUT they are no longer afraid - or if they are, they're still willing to put them up and make a stand.
