There are lots of TV ads to vote & how & where to do so, I've been getting at least 2 vote reminders via mail daily. Yesterday I got 5! Today there were 3. I know we're all reminding all we know to make sure turnout is HIGH, but I NEVER remember getting bombarded with reminders like this, and I'm 77 so I have a lot of past elections to compare. I've checked to see who was behind these mailings but it appears there are a lot of individual groups that aren't conspicuously linked to any party.
I hope all this attention produces the highest turnout ever, but why do you think there are so many mail/ads?

(639 posts)Many SuperPACs are sending mail pieces. See who sent it.
If it is not from the actual candidate's official campaign. Toss it and forget what it said.
These groups do not have to state facts, do not have to validate any claim and are pretty much worthless.
Like TV ads, not from the actual cadidate is useless and likely not true.

I keep marking stuff Return to Sender and No Longer Resides At This Address, to no avail. I was also worried that their mail-in ballots might be in my box.

(129,415 posts)along with dozens of emails and multiple voice calls (land line and cell that I don't answer) - and the past month, at least several text messages on my cell phones... every damn day. I even got a knock at the door this afternoon that I didn't get chance to check on because I was in the middle of moving plants from outside and peeped out to see what looked like a canvasser.
And these are coming from multiple organizations - some Biden/Harris campaign-related, some from the city and state, some from orgs like AARP, but more recently, a lot of it is coming from voter/voting-related orgs, that includes info on how to request and submit the mail-in absentee ballots here in PA.
I literally live in one of the city Wards that always has one of the highest voter turnouts for any election, including off-year primaries, but no one can say that there is "no voter outreach".
