Issues in Miami-Dade and other areas

MSNBC says many mail-in ballots in Miami-Dade did not have signatures. How can someone miss this critical info? They say in Miami-Dade they can cure it but have to contact the office.

Objective for this week (for me and all DUERS)

1. Need to focus this week on education and how to cure. Big issues in Dem areas and in Miami-Dade.

2. Some in Michigan do not know if their ballots were accepted? What to do if true on Nov 1st? They cannot revote. It is felony. No one has explained this.

3. Many mail-in ballots are still not returned. Yes, many have but 100% of requested ballots have to be returned. Trumpies are coming on Nov 3rd.

4. GOTV and I am volunteering this week.

It will allow you to look up the status of your ballot.

They were first time voters-by-mail. I’m in Broward. I’ve walked my friends and coworkers in Miami Dade through it. I’ve walked my family and friends in Broward through it. I’ve always stressed and emphasized that:

1) the secrecy sleeve is bullshit and that’s why it’s so easily forgettable. Put your ballot in the secrecy sleeve and put it in the envelope.

2) Print your name, sign and date.

3) JUST BECAUSE THE CONTACT INFORMATION IS OPTIONAL DOESNT MEAN YOU SHOULD LEAVE IT BLANK. If I’m going through it with them in person, I’d hand back the ballot and tell them to put their phone number on it.

Each owner of a rejected ballot, to help them cure it. A friend of mine was assigned 200 people.I

(He may or may not be motivated to do this by his prior support of Nader in 2004 . . . I was unable to convince him then, but he has been adamantly against 3rd party candidates since then.)

I hope Miami has something like this set up.

The election office received 100 Democratic ballots without signatures the first 4 days after absentee ballots were mailed to voters.
