That the Civil War had ended the notion that states could choose to secede and if any tried, they could be met with force? That IF a state wanted to leave and the rest of the country was willing to allow it, the state would have to pay back the billions of Federal dollars spent on infrastructure?

If the idea was so foolish four years ago, why do the same people who ridiculed it then keep bringing it up as a possibility now?
