Report from the Suburbs of NYC:

Tried to vote at three different early voting locations today and every one of them had long lines of people standing in torrential rain to vote. This is the sixth day of early voting in New York State. This is going to be an historic election!

larding up votes in NY or CA does us no good.

Saw a news story on early voting in NC, at a voting center in Charlotte. There were election desks waiting for voters to show up.

Because if that happened, Trump would never shut up about it, and of course he'd claim fraud and what not, but maybe he would help create enough bipartisan support for finally getting rid of the electoral college.

On Long Island, you need a Democratic representative to replace Pete King

I was thinking of voting today but given the rain and the long lines I'll probably wait. I've never had to wait in line for long on election day since moving to New York, and especially since moving to the suburbs, so I don't see a huge reason to vote early, but I may try to do it this weekend anyway. I requested an absentee ballot as a backup, but the website to check ballot status suddenly can't find a record of me as a voter. I know I'm still registered because the site to check my polling location does have me listed.

don't forget down ballot races. We're trying to turn NY-02 from Red to Blue.

We went by mail, and I'm glad we did, but kind of miss the social aspect.
