Look out New England, here comes Zeta.

The damn thing flew through my area in the deep south about 1:00 AM, and it was hauling ass. Power out for awhile with some limbs and a few downed trees, but otherwise no major damage. Now it's due to hit parts of New England later tonight with rain, wind and possibly snow in some areas. Has anyone here ever seen a tropical storm move that far that fast?

I hope someone with actual weather knowledge steps in but my thoughts are that if it is moving fast, it is not spending time over water and gathering more rain to cause damaging torrential downpours.

It has caused enough damage. I have family in New Orleans expecting to be without power for at least the next 5 days.

because there's a lot of rain with this system. Left us with over $JA2billion in damages and we only had stationary outer bands.
