Real Time with Bill Maher guests - Friday, October 30, 2020

Real Time with Bill Maher continues its 18th season Friday, October 30 (10:00-11:00 p.m. live ET/tape-delayed PT), with a replay at 11:30 p.m., exclusively on HBO.

This week features one-on-one virtual interviews with Al Franken, former Democratic U.S. Senator from Minnesota who now hosts The Al Franken Podcast; and David E. Sanger, New York Times national security correspondent and executive producer of the new HBO documentary, The Perfect Weapon, based on his book of the same title, now streaming on HBO Max. This week will also feature a panel with John Heilemann, Executive Editor of The Recount and host of Showtime's The Circus; and Lis Smith, fellow at the Georgetown Institute of Politics and former Senior Advisor to Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s 2020 presidential campaign.

All Bill does is piss me off perpetually I promised my wife I'd stop watching his BS for the sake of the flatscreen TV...

That said I will be watching for Franken.

He sure as heck has basically been saying obese people are almost at fault for dying of covid. That we still have to live our lives---loosening things up. Also complaining about California regulations, and the protests. He almost makes it sound like stupid liberals are tearing down Abe Lincoln statues everywhere. I do agree with him that cancel culture has some faults and having Franken on is good.

I'll be watching. I dont have to agree with Bill all the time, its why I like it, progressives by nature will never be ditto heads spreading mega dittos all day long.

And having to do his show from his home with all virtual guests. Now that he's back in the studio, even with a very small studio audience, he seems much happier. And he has some good guests this week, especially Al Franken.

I can't wait to see him again! The rest of the line up sounds pretty good as well. Should be an interesting show.

BTW, I just received Ben Sheehan's book "OMG WTF Does The Constitution Actually Say". I will be reading it this weekend.

Thanks, Rhiannon!

And my favorite from last week was Ben Sheehan, as well - I'd love to hear a lot more from him, he was just terrific! Let me know how you like his book, I should add it to my wish list!

This may have been my favorite show of the season, so far. All the guests were great and - of course - it didn't hurt that the initial guest was Al Franken!
