That's the highest I've ever seen.

I've been watching new cases by State pretty closely, and tracking how many states are reporting more than 1000 cases a day. It had been 12-15 states for a while, then jumped to low 20s and mid 20s last month.

Today it was 33 states with 1000+ new COVID cases.

91,530 new cases in the US today, according to Wolrdometers.

That's insane. That's unchecked community spread across most of the US, which means the numbers are only going to get worse.

Forget about the Supreme Court and the economy. Trump is leaving Biden shit sandwich time bomb that's going to kill hundreds of thousands of people.

Any measures Biden implements in January won't affect numbers until March. I think we'll see 5 more months of mega numbers before things start to get better.

Trump has politicized infection prevention to the point that 40% of Americans think masks are a New World Order conspiracy. Nothing Biden can do will be able to change that.

A vaccine is the only hope.

Was thinking about you this summer. I'm getting better growing peppers.

Had a Jalapeño, Habanero and 2 Ghost pepper plants this year, grown in big pots.

Was disappointed with the Jalapeños. No heat at all, they tasted like bell peppers.

Really good yield on the habaneros and ghosts. Nice dark red colour on the habaneros, red and orange on the ghosts. Growing season is pretty short up here, so only one batch per plant.



Ended up with 8 x 4oz bottles of Jalapeno Habanero Cilantro hot sauce, and 13 x 4 oz of super hot pineapple Habanero Ghost sauce.

Recent studies in Europe that indicate that the virus has mutated already, (which are not yet peer reviewed).

We are talking about a corona virus which is the same kind that brings on the common cold. Why is there no vaccine or "cure" for it? Well, it mutates often is one reason.

Even a vaccine may be a short-term way to deal with COVID-19 and that is yet another reason to contain and mitigate the pandemic all the way along from the beginning until it someday levels off.

We could be in a very long-term state of COVID-19 crisis that could last for years, decades, etc. It could diminish or strengthen depending on how it mutates.

According to medical researchers at UCLA, the lifespan of the antibody to the Coronavirus is about 3 months. It will be interesting to read the waiver paper we will have to sign to get a vaccination. I favor Moderna's vaccine. It will be available sometime in the summer of next year. Their clinical trials conclude in June 2021.
