Even the Koch brothers would have had trouble doing a stealth takeover of government without the propaganda machine convincing millions to believe in "Demon rats". The Fascist Oligarch eXtremists needed a way to send their minions rushing to the polls every year to defend freedumb. Koch delivered the cogs but Murdoch delivered the cult.
