Certification happens at the state level. Other than a bunch of Repugs puking kn themselves in outrage, what would happen?

I think the ruling will be overturned. The state created this exception in advance. I think the federal appeals court needed to stay out of it. This is a state matter that has been settled.

and returned it right away and they acknowledged they had it on September 29th. I just went to the SOS website and it still states

"Important Notice: For the November 3, 2020 State General Election, ballots returned by mail must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by your county within seven (7) days of the election date to be counted."

It's unbelievable that the repukes are attempting to change the rules less than a week before the election.
