As we deal with the unrelenting election stress, I find this oddly comforting...

The visual just reminds us how much is out there and how relative is our "significance."

Not every planet orbits a star. Countless rogue planets are thought to cruise through the galaxy, dark and untethered, and astronomers are hoping to find more of them

that does help us realize our significance.

Yet the suffering of our fellow creatures on this blue dot helps us understand how important this election is.
