Pollorama

Just an avalanche of polls the last couple days. Seems every polling agency you've never heard of is getting added to the 538 average.

Polls like Long Island University, Opinium, Swayable, Tuft, Cometrend, Winston Group, GS Strategy Group, AtlasIntel etc etc. I do not remember any of these pollsters from 2016. And most of them aren't even ranked by 538. They all show pretty well for Joe, but I think 538 needs to start being more selective. I get their policy of adding it all, the average usually works out, but you've got polls the last 2 days that show Biden 48 Trump 30 and others that say Biden 48 Trump 47. I think some are just junk data that doesn't need to be in there.

Marist, Monmouth, ABC/WAPO, and NY Time/Siena will all be coming out with their final polls in the next couple days, those polls will tell us more than the average does right now IMO. My guess is Biden is more like 10 points ahead.

All these un-vetted newcomers have to be viewed with skepticism.

more data is better. But they do weight polls. I think that's a balanced approach.
