I definitely have seen an uptick. Does anyone know the name of those apps that keep track of what is going on in your community?

(46,727 posts)I know there's one that's meant to attract people who might be in the area that have medical experience. But I was hoping for one that is meant for lurkers.

(38,601 posts)Often just fire and emergency (and airports and such) because many places have locked down police.

(46,727 posts)I never followed the plot lines, but I had a hunch that she wasn't all wrong.

Did I just hear shots?
Why were there cops there?
Someone came to my door, said they were with the electric company. Keep an eye out!
There were brown people walking down the street!

I swear my old neighborhood had like 18 votes for trump last time and they are all on Facebook blaming Lori Lightfoot and Kim Fox and Barack Obama for every single crime that takes place.

(16,616 posts)It's called Broadcastify, and there are hundreds of feeds to local police, fire, EMS and it's broken down by state, county, city, town, and also coverage of rural areas. It doesn't cover every city and town, but there are tons of feeds here. It's fun to browse and see if your area is covered by a feed. (It's also useful if a major event happens somewhere and you want to listen in to the authorities).

(33,157 posts)Seriously, though. That's my thought on it as well. Except, they are probably bringing in patients from the remote areas.
I don't know why they fly over here really low. It's not lined up with any facilities. Unless they're using streets or something to navigate.

(3,370 posts)I have noticed. The county website has an active incidents page, which shows calls to a local dispatxh center for vehicle, fire, and medical emergencies. There has been an uptick in "respiratory emergency" calls in recent weeks. I remember back in April there would be so many respiratory emergency calls within a day. Most of them were in nursing/long term facilities tax that time. They skewed residential since then.
