(16,943 posts)If the SC. hands him the victory, then that's the answer! Next question is, WHAT will take place? Best answer to me is BLUE WAVE, because i really DO NOT want it put in the hands of the SC!

(5,124 posts)You probably should have held out for nominating a justice until after the election. Give them something to keep you around for. Your tweets have no power anymore. Buh,bye.

(15,263 posts)I'm sure there were some whips and carrots involved.
The FedSoc, Opus Dei, and others are pretty damned pushy and might resort to veiled threats.

(9,263 posts)either Alito or Gorsuch to align with the 3 liberal judges out of PURE fairness and the court integrity. John Roberts is NOT A POLITICAL HACK and this is 100% INSULT to him DIRECTLY

(45,446 posts)There's hope for Gorsuch to do the right thing. Meanwhile, I'm hoping for a big decisive win so that it doesn't go to the courts.

(16,927 posts)THIS is the BEST way to get it done - kick ass in the elections and there can be no doubt!
IronLionZion
(45,446 posts)it may take a while to count all the mail in ballots in some states so he'll be bloviating about fraud in the meantime. But in the end we should have a big enough win to overcome any doubts.

(16,927 posts)Yes, I agree that they'll "sludge" the system for a week or two, but come January 20, Joe's gonna' start getting things right!

(2,993 posts)If it's 6-3, with only the Trump appointees dissenting, we'd have some serious ammo to justify expanding the court.
MyOwnPeace
(16,927 posts)if they have the need to make a ruling - and it's not gonna' be a good one - ain't no way we're expanding the court for WAY TOO LONG!!!!!

(43,167 posts)to alter the terms in their favor. Because that's what you have here. To Trump everything is a negotiable right of privilege.
Wouldn't we all like that?
Contract? Sharpie. Mortgage? Sharpie. Supreme Court? Sharpie!
paleotn
(17,918 posts)98% of what he blabbers on about means nothing, isn't going to happen and is just the ruminations of a crazy old man. SCOTUS can rule on very narrowly defined issues. They are most certainly NOT going to grant him the presidency by court edict. Isn't going to happen. Period.
