Houston voters are turning out in record numbers this year — but it's young Texans who are driving the historic surge: "We have to work as a team to really push for what we want to happen in our country"

in terms of who they are voting for?

I certainly SURMISE it is for the Dem team. I'm wondering what data there is to support this?

shows young people breaking big time for Biden. I have no link but I’ve seen quite a bit of data supporting this.

Young people in traditionally red areas may be voting for Trump, but I doubt many in the big cities are GOP. Add to that the people that sat out 2016, and the people who voted for Trump just because they hated Hillary, and I expect the big cities to be even bluer than 2016.

98 of Texas's 254 counties have less than 12K residents each; some under 1000. So when you see all those little dark red squares in West Texas, just remember, cows can't vote.

Just finished working every day of early voting at the Carver Library in east Austin. Lotsa first-time voters (we yell and clap) and many others who haven’t voted 🗳 ‘in a while’. People are driven, no doubt, and being in Austin skews perspective, to say the least. We’ll see what happens, but 2016 looms large any time you see ANYTHING positive about Tuesday. It ain’t over ‘til the Fat Lady sings (as a famed Texas criminal defense lawyer used to say), and she’ll only be clearing her throat and warming up well after next Tuesday. Stay Calm and Carry On...
