This did not need to happen ... Nor does it need to continue.
If you do not vote, or if you vote for Trump, you are an accessory to this mass murder.
You might get away with being an accessory to these murders ... or you may be handed a COVID-19 death sentence, just like 235,132 innocent Americans already have .

(51,597 posts)I just updated a post from a little while ago. It has gone up about 9,000 in two hours and like you said, the day isn't over. They usually have the final numbers by 8 pm (PST). I changed my prediction from 100,000 by Election Day to tonight!

(34,074 posts)Almost always by 9:15 ET. I can only recall a handful that were as late as 9:30 ET. (It's one of the reasons I use this site - their regularity of posting, with a definite cut-off time for the day. That gives me a true 24-hour count.)

(7,633 posts)If you look at worldometers, cases who had an outcome : 6,252,730
They define an outcome as people who ended up recovered either at home or were discharged from the hospital or who died.
6,017,598 recovered and were discharged (96%)
4% of the people died. (235,132)
Now of course most Trumpers will tell you its 0.1 % because they compare that with the total population of the US which is stupid.
The proper metric is how many people died out of those that were infected. That percentage is much higher.
We have 9.312,272 total cases which means 3060342 are unresolved. If they follow the same trend, we will have a further 122413 deaths.
If I apply the same reasoning on your per day number that will be 3884 .

(15,090 posts)98,375 people had positive test results reported today. They contracted COVID a week ago, more or less. The number has been growing since then, but we wont know how many until next week.
