MINI-THREAD
1) This week we saw one of the most disgustin' aspects of Trumpism rear it's ugly head. In Texas, an armed MAGA caravan of vehicles intercepted a Biden-Harris campaign bus and attempted to run it off the road.
2) Calls to Trump-friendly police for help were met with the response, "not our jurisdiction." At least one of the Biden campaign's vehicles received damaged as a Trump-flag-wavin' black pick-up attempted to force it into another lane at high speed.
3) To add insult to injury, Trump posted footage of the event on his Twitter feed, praisin' the crime with "I love Texas!" Can you imagine that? An American "president" exaultin' the criminal behavior of a vigilante mob that could have easily resulted in the deaths of dozens?
4) What has happened to us? Imagine if Obama, or any other president had done such a thing. It would be met with immediate, relentless calls for impeachment and removal. Why does half the nation celebrate such malicious behavior?
5) Tea's seen packs of wolves with higher moral character. We've literally descended into primal tribalism, where laws have no relevance, but rather does the transactional outcome of an event support "our side."
6) When Biden talks about "restorin' the soul of our nation", it's not lofty rhetoric. He's talkin' about events just like this. If this had been a caravan of rusty Toyota pickups full of bearded, dark-skinned jihadists, Trumpers would be screamin' for nuclear retaliation.
7) The soul of our nation is 100% at stake on Tuesday. It's time for every American to take stock of where we are and how far we've fallen. There is only one correct and moral decision we can make and that is to remove this man that has plunged us into the dark abyss.

(268,980 posts)Until M$Greedia publicly state that they will not have anything to do with a President or a campaign involved in and promoting terrorism, this shit will continue. The Killa Con should have been asked to condemn this attack or he should be banned from the airways and Twitter.

Shit stain losing could be the spark that ignites a civil divide.

They are entitled to their opinions, but he lawlessness needs to be brought to a screeching halt. Cops who refuse to do their jobs because of political motivation need to be removed. Brown shirts militias must be eliminated. The radical right is a cancer.
As Barney said, we need to "nip it, nip it in the bud."

(32,636 posts)I mean, after all, several videos of these vehicles have been posted so their license tags are out there. These people need to be brought to trial to answer for their actions. They need to lose their drivers' licenses, lose their gun permits (which I'm sure most of them were carrying), and lose their cellphones which allowed this kind of coordination.
Break the spine of these anti-democratic activities, throw as many as possible in jail. For the rest who don't get imprisoned, take away their ability to organize in the future.
