(9,247 posts)I guess he's got plenty to spare... Or, isn't worried because the bulk of the deaths will happen after Tuesday?
I haven't seen this reported on the national evening news, or this morning on the political talk shows. It really needs more coverage.
It needs to hit the MSM.

(9,090 posts)and ebola were similar and it would work again. he thought he could use it to derail voting. that didn't work and at this point probably knowing he'll lose he wants it to get so bad he has to close everything down and delay his departure or leverage the what's left into some get out of jail card
someone already told him fear and chaos are good for authoritarians (they have an increased need for certainty - represented by him)
his aim from the beginning was to ignore it or make it worse - if it was incompetence and lack of long-sight or not wanting a lockdown for economic purposes he would have at least put someone in charge of at last getting PPE and equipment, etc out there
instead he coordinated with limbaugh from the beginning and limbaugh led rw media with 2 months of total denial etc
media needs to ask the questions and dems need dto gegt limbaugh under oath befor ehe croaks, not because he will tell the truth but just to lay out the scenario and scare the crap out of the cons who have depended on invisible talk radio for 30 years

(13,585 posts)busload of ignorant, pestilence spreading vermin to a rally and back. Especially if it's a different bunch of Trump's followers on the return trip, fresh from rubbing their sleaze all over each other for a couple hours.
I'm waiting to hear that was a big issue with the two previous incidents. Sure they didn't get paid, but that was to be expected. I bet they had drivers come back from the first run and bail on them.

(21,454 posts)the only reason I can see for it it is a subversive attempt to rally people behind him as the "true winner."
MyMission
(1,850 posts)I see 45 as a tool of the devil/forces of evil. Teflon Don. He's a dark, empty, narcissistic creature.
Yes, he needs adoration, and his sick self feeds off of it, as do the forces he serves. His ego needs stroking, but he needs the energy of the crowd. He's an energy vampire, feeding off others. That's how I see him. Not a supernatural creature but more tool of the devil, or Russian or hate groups. So yes, they're fine sucking the energy and life from those willing offer their devotion. This is after they've made them angry and hateful. They need to feed off that, which is why he wants to continue with the rally's, and if it spreads Covid that's no big deal. On to the next rally!
The thing is, these forces are being overwhelmed by forces of light and love. The majority of us do not want 45 and his ilk, and we are voting them out. So good will triumph over the evil forces
And we don't want his followers to suffer, as much as we may believe they deserve it, we aren't gleeful about seeing folks stranded, with frostbite and heatstroke and exposed to covid germs
But there will still be a portion of deplorables who remain loyal to him. They will sign up for his new TV channel where he berates and blathers, and lives in his alternate reality. He's already planning to have a TV following after he leaves office, to feed his ego.

(11,648 posts)Using buses seems especially stupid. Packing them full of sniffling (its cold in many places), largely unmasked people! Rolling Petri dishes. I feel for the drivers who probably need the income. And when the check bounces, the bus companies are cutting their losses and leaving the MAGATs stranded. I dont feel sorry for the MAGATS, theyre making one bad choice after another.

(2,150 posts)Wreaking havoc to spite all of us. He's building the biggest dumpster fire he can before leaving office, and he'll blame it on liberal anarchists who support Biden. So predictable.
Exploding coronavirus to create a massive healthcare crisis is par for the course. To me it says he knows he will lose, and if he's going to lose, he's going to make sure he makes life miserable after he's gone from office.

(4 posts)She could have very easily kept to herself all of her knowledge and insights into her uncle's psyche. She actively chose the more difficult route, thereby putting herself in the immediate crosshairs of Mr. Trump and his deranged minions.
That takes no small amount of courage and will. She has modeled the kind of bravery which is a unique gift to her fellow countrymen, and has done so in a calm, strong, resolute and deliberative fashion, eschewing any sort of celebrity or notoriety which might have served to diminish the credibility and power of her singular story.
Thank you very much for posting this.
