Wow -- a "Fire Fauci!" chant at the Trump rally
"Let me wait until a little after the election," Trump replies

(16,254 posts)We're in desperate need for guidance on the COVID tragedy and we sure as hell won't get that from Trump. How many on the pandemic panel have we already lost? Fauci is the only person the medical field will follow and apparently he's too good for Trump's support.
I hope this little piece of information is the straw that broke the camel's back and he loses without argument.

(34,195 posts)I don't know if it was accurate but,
it said that Fauci is not in a job controlled by the president.
Trump can say he's going to fire someone,
but it doesn't mean that he can.

(34,195 posts)Saw an article on CNN online that said it would be a long time consuming procedure to remove him.
He can't be fired in just a tweet or by Trump or Azar saying so.
Also that there are procedures he could use to contest his removal that would also be long and time consuming.
Otherwise I think he would have been long gone.

(50,573 posts)Trump will want to do as much damage as possible in the time remaining so as to sabotage Biden's presidency.
Trump doesn't realize that Biden would have no problem whatsoever with not only hiring Fauci for his transition team and reinstating him the day of the inauguration, but that he would be MORE than happy to hire the entire Obama Administration as Special Advisors to the President.
And the first piece of advice they should give him: "Hire Hillary Clinton to lock Trump up."
